Max Is Back!

Max's Aging Gracefully Blog

Wow, I can’t believe it’s about 2 years since my last blog. What can I say, I’ve been busy making my devoted servants happy. That’s what I do! It has been an eventful last few months too. My Nan, my current chief carer, has a habit of over mothering me – and my personal health care professional, vet Ben has cottoned onto this – telling her, she is over-mothering me. The last episode, this week, was because of an itchy bum. I mean, come on, we all get a bit itchy down there sometimes, but not all of us need a visit to the ER vet..

Talking of which, as I am maturing gracefully, I do notice that at times, I have issues with containing my excitement and can be prone to a little leak here and there. Apparently, this is a common problem, especially for the ladies amongst us, and after having kids. I can’t have kids, my mum made sure of that years ago, so I have to content myself with roughing up the in laws when they visit. That’s fun!

Anyway, back to my leakage problem. It can be a bit embarrassing and there’s not much I can do about it, apart from “go with the flow” – Luckily, for you ladies, if you have the same, my mum has just the thing for you, Femilift. Apparently, it is great for treating what is called Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). Now, I get embarrassed, being a boy pup, describing what it can do, and mum; Dr Saliba, is fabulous in this area. Apparently, just 3 treatments initially can help with stress incontinence. It uses the latest laser technology and treatment quick, and relatively pain free. So, you may be able to put an end to that laughter leakage. I wish I could!

Another benefit of getting older and wiser like me, is being super mellow. I love lounging around, with my nan and pop all day, watching a bit of TV – sport’s my favourite – come on you Dragons! Apart from this, I do notice at times, that I’m not looking as fresh as I once did. Yes, I hear you saying, “how can you improve perfection?” I know, I am pretty darn well perfect looking, but there are days when things just don’t go as they should when I wake up. My bed fur is all over the place for a start! I also need to downward dog a lot more too. Unfortunately, I can’t take advantage of some pretty cool laser treatments available at work – you know, the place I’m employed as Chief Happiness Officer, but haven’t’ been to for a long while – this working from home lark is superb!

Anyway – my mum has invested in some pretty cool laser machines that can deliver very many different degrees of treatments. From non-surgical face lifts using the latest CO2 laser – that one needs about 2 weeks downtime but our clients that have done this, have been very, very happy with the results, to the less invasive face and neck tightening with our latest Radio Frequency laser, to skin rejuvenation using Laser Genesis. So, whilst I can’t take advantage of these, it’s worth you speaking with my aunt Samar or Dr Saliba about what you want to achieve with your skin and appearance and the various ways we can help you achieve your skin goals.

Finally, as I contemplate old age, I am reminded of the words of a very wise old dog, that lives opposite me. We speak every night. And I mean every night. She tells me all about her day, I tell her all about mine. It is a very happy time of the day for me. I’m not sure nan is that impressed though, but she can’t understand our dog language. Her words sit with me… “woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof” – they are indeed insightful and moving. I hope you find them so too.

Anyway – I am off on holidays soon. My aunt Mary is getting married! And I am going on vacation for a day or so – I’d love to be there, but being perfect, being so cute, and being so wise, there is no way I’d want to upstage the beautiful bride and groom on their big day, so, I’m taking one for the team, but looking forward to getting some pampering from yet another of my devotees. I’ll try to write more soon, but in the mean time, here’s Max, signing out…
